A World in A Suitcase
A World in a Suitcase, an innovative mixed media visual storytelling project created by Myrna Shoa and Timuchin Dindjer to inspire people from diverse communities to take a fresh look at their 'Worlds' through sharing stories, art, photography, paper collage & film.
The aim of the project is to foster closer relations, understanding, empathy and tolerance between diverse communities.
We were delighted to be invited by the Wellcome Trust to become one of the Pioneers of their Open Platform event series and test some of our new ideas. The project inspired visitors to look at the Reading Room and Wellcome Collection with fresh eyes and use the beautiful images to create new stories and worlds.
We were a small team working across boroughs of Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea. We have close links with Westminster Adult Education Services and run courses for them as well as other providers.
The project run between 2016 - 2023. However we still accept commissions for mixed media and storytelling projects, including films, web content and art and happy to help others continue with this brilliant concept.
