I am an RTS award-winning producer/director, creatively steering multi-media projects from concept to evaluation. I have a wealth of experience in commissioning, developing, directing and producing digital and multichannel formats, in a bold, imaginative way, that reach diverse audiences.
My career spans more than a decade of in-house production at the BBC, as well as large-scale experiential events and projects in the third sector, often in conjunction with multiple partners. I am one of the pioneers of the new Open Platform Events at Wellcome Collection and a Fellow of the RSA.

My Professional Training
|
I studied all the wrong things......
After my first degree in Applied Biology, I worked in Public Health Medicine and achieved a post grad diploma in Public Health Promotion at Manchester University. This allowed me to focus on public health education, leading to a job at the BBC, where I worked on health & relationships programmes. I discovered a passion for visual story telling and honed my production skills on a wide variety of projects around the Corporation. Having worked in strategy and internal comms at the DG's office and produced multi-platform projects for Adult Education, I landed an exciting role in the development team for BBC Learning. I produced and commissioned content for TV, Radio, Events, Print and Digital (web, social media and mobile phone). Since leaving the BBC in 2012, I have delivered strategic consultancy projects on events and multimedia content for Historic Royal Palaces, Save the Children, Creative Skillset, Penfold Hub, Church Street Create and Westminster Adult Education Services. Recently I've been working with mixed media, including collage, painting, photography and film, on a story telling project, A World in a Suitcase I developed a format for a live stage tour for the Wildlife presenter Ben Garrod, who is taking it on the road for the second year. I'm about to start filming a documentary on urban horses, collaborating with a art & fashion magazine and working with an African-Caribbean Centre on mixed media projects. Watch the space.... Connecting with people is what gives me energy to drive ideas forward |
